Why a Blog?

The idea of building a blog as a unique showcase platform instead of a website is not quite standard. But if you'd rather admire Shutterstock pictures of people pretending to work and read boringly inaccurate descriptions of services, that's not going to happen.

Here's why:

Well, if you're here in the first place, you're either curious about what Optim-Edge is exactly (which is a nice first step) or you would like to see how I could be of help (which is an even nicer second step).

Before we go any further, let's clarify: Optim-Edge is about providing development and consultancy services to companies seeking - or needing - to optimise/automate processes.

Now, if you already know that your company would benefit from a workflow overhaul, you don't need a website listing services.
If you don't know what this is about, a page of services won't help you either.
No, 2 things would help: articles on the topic, and a contact form.

And this is how I believe I could be of help: by posting choice findings and thoughts, I hope to convince YOU, valued reader, that giving your processes a lot of attention is a happy path (business-wise of course - I'm not expecting these articles to make you smile all day long like the above-mentioned Shutterstock models, or laugh in the face of True Despair any September day in the Paris public transports), and - that's the good news - both quite inexpensive and generating a lot of value.

On one condition.

You have to do it right.

That may be the most critical trait of any project targeting workflows: if poorly guided and/or sponsored, they can generate massive amounts of collateral damage. I will of course write at length about this, since following obvious guidelines can ensure that your project runs safe from the common pitfalls.

Finally, there is a universal truth to take into account: every business is unique.
With that in mind, I intend to offer* my energy and experience to businesses who think, try, want, need optimisation.

I don't pretend to evangelise, and besides I don't see optimisation as the ultimate truth - more on that later. But I will still do my best to set you on track, guide you, counsel you, help you, because I know that businesses can thrive with this mindset.

Feel free to get in touch, it never hurts.

*Come on, I'm not gift-wrapping anything. It's a figure of speech.

PS: I may change my mind and create a website later on, which would make this post quite pointless. Don't mind me.

PPS: no, no stupid gifs this time. As soon as I have a computer, I promise.
